Superman & Dinosaurs: The Musical

One of my earliest dreams that I can remember. I was around five or six years old when I had this dream and I was still living in Canada. Superman was my favorite superhero and dinosaurs always fascinate kids so what more could I ask for? It was also around winter time because that's when they always played The Sound of Music on tv. My mom would always let us stay up late to watch it but I never could stay awake through that movie. This was also around the time I would worry about what would happen if I lost my parents. So all that contributed to this dream...

I was on the outskirts of a big city (Metropolis?). The road to the city was a very long dirt road that ran straight all the way into the city. The city had all sorts of tall skyscrapers and looked like the backdrop of an old Superfriends cartoon. Basically it was my view of how a city should look like and my view was based on cartoons.

I was scared and alone. Just a little kid with nobody around. I needed to get into the city to find my parents or any adult to help. I was crying while I walked to the city because I was lost and afraid. I didn't know what to do.

I ran out of tears about halfway to the city which probably only took seconds. I was almost there... but there was a huge dinosaur blocking my way. It was a little-kid-eating brontosaurus! I had to run away! I thought I had the chance because I was small and fast while the dinosaur was big and slow. There was only one problem... The dinosaur took long steps! But not really. The dinosaur would keep appearing closer and closer so there would be no way for me to run. If dinosaurs could cheat in my dreams then so could I. I turned into a little superman, spun around at super high speeds, and drilled a tunnel under the dinosaur and out behind. I lost the dinosaur and flew my way into the city.

I finally made it to the city but I didn't reach my goal yet. I still had to find my parents. I found my way into a large crystal cave. My mom was there. She died there in my dream and I was alone again. I cried again because I was lost again. As I was crying, all the crystals in the walls started to glow. I heard my mom singing. She started to float down from the roof of the cave in a glow of light. The song was like a song from a musical. Instrumentals sounded on cue to my mom's singing. A choir appeared on my dream set to provide backup. I joined in on the song and was happy again because I wasn't lost anymore. The end.
